At Holy Family School, we are deeply committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and sacred environment where all children can learn, grow, and worship free from harm.
In strict alignment with the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, our safety practices are guided by the Decree on Child Protection. We maintain a rigorous screening and training process for every adult who interacts with our students.

The purpose of the Decree is two-fold

Educating our community and thoroughly screening all adults who serve our youth.

Maintaining a robust, transparent system for handling and immediately reporting any allegations to civil authorities.

Requirements for Staff and Volunteers
To ensure the safety of our student body, all clerics, school employees, and volunteers (including coaches, field trip chaperones, and classroom helpers) must complete the following steps prior to beginning any service:
1. Background Checks:
Volunteers & Employees: Must complete a background check and fingerprinting through SELECTION.com at their Tri-County location (155 Tri County Pkwy, Suite 115. Cincinnati, OH 45246. Open M-F 8am to 4:30pm.). When they ask where you want your prints sent - say Archdiocese and Ohio Department of Education.
Cash or Check only is accepted. Cost for both BCI and FBI $62.
Bring your Driver’s License, Passport or a State Issued ID, without this, you cannot be fingerprinted.
2. Child Protection Training:
Everyone must complete the interactive online training program: SafeParish™: Protecting Children From Sexual Abuse – Arch. of Cincinnati Edition.
Register for a SafeParish account and select Holy Family as your location. Instructions Here.
Complete the initial training and then complete the online background check through SafeParish. Instructions Here.
Staying Compliant: To remain active, all users must stay up-to-date with the required quarterly video bulletins. Failure to complete these bulletins will temporarily pause your ability to work or volunteer with the youth.
3. For Substitute Teachers:
Access or create your OH/ID account to get started on the online application process. Once you have an OH/ID account you will be able to access "Educator Licensure and Records CORE" from the OH/ID account menu. Select the "Educator Licensure and Records CORE" App. Under "My Credentials", select "Apply for NEW Credential" tab and follow the prompts. Questions may be directed to ODE's Office of Educator Licensure at (877)- 6446338 or educator.licensure@education.ohio.gov
Follow the online instructions. The organization IRN is 052514- Cincinnati Archdiocese.
Official Transcripts: Upload, as part of the application process, or mail an official bachelor's transcript to: OH Dept. of Education. Office of Educator Licensure. 25 S. Front Street. Columbus, OH 43215. Note: If you have a Master's transcript, upload that also. Pay using your credit card.
